Perfect Your Science Fair Project with Advanced Research and Expert Guidance

2026 is filled with opportunities for future chemists, computer scientists, and other students of STEM. Top science competitions, like Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) or the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS), are already accepting applications from young scholars eager to prove their knowledge, show off advanced skills, and earn prizes and recognition. Events like these are known to attract the brightest young minds in the world, so how certain are you that your science fair project will stand out above the rest?

If you’re a high school student with dreams of rising through the regional, national, or even international ranks of the best science fairs of 2026, it’ll take more than confidence and an innovative concept to win first place. Expert mentorship from seasoned professionals, advanced research guidance, and ongoing academic support could be the armor you need to fortify yourself against increasingly steep competition.

Join the Science Fair Elite Research Program

Scholar Launch’s Science Fair Elite Research Program is a new and unique one-on-one cohort specifically designed to help science fair competitors build top projects that meet and exceed competition standards. The program offers comprehensive support through the science fair research process, from vetting the best research topics to helping you prepare your final presentation.

Science Fair Elite participants get to leverage the same world-class education that characterizes our group research programs. Classic opportunities like learning university-level research methodology, perfecting the nuances of academic writing, receiving dedicated guidance on publishing research, and earning letters of recommendation, are mainstays that all Scholar Launch students can look forward to. However, to successfully prepare you for some of the toughest competitions in the world of academia, the Science Fair Elite Research Program comes equipped with additional resources and benefits.

Students will work one-on-one with experienced Faculty Advisors (FAs) and Teaching Assistants (TAs) from the most prestitgious universities, including Dartmouth, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon and more. They’ll receive extra mentorship, interview preparation, and final presentation guidance as they develop original, award-winning projects. Instead of the 6 group sessions students typically get with their FAs in our group research programs, Science Fair Elite students can meet individually with their FAs up to 12 times to refine their research topics and design their projects. They can also meet with TAs up to 10 times–as opposed to the regular 6 sessions–for general academic and research support, including assistance with coding, data analysis, and overall troubleshooting, when needed.

And the guidance doesn’t stop there. The Science Fair Elite Research Program also helps students design clear and impactful competition-specific posters, write the ~250-word abstracts required for most, if not all, competitions, and practice their communication skills with mock interviews. Additionally, our education team keeps a close eye on each student’s progress to make sure all scholars are progressing satisfactorily and have polished science fair projects by the end of their programs.

The mentors we’ve invited to participate in Science Fair Elite have direct experience with science competitions and understand the high-level expectations. In fact, several of our FAs are former ISEF judges. With their expertise and resources, we’re able to offer students exclusive datasets, simulation tools, and computational approaches to aid in their research process. And we welcome students at every stage of their journey, whether you’ve already developed a project and want additional support or you still need help picking a research topic.

While we can never guarantee competition success, as that depends on so many external factors outside of our control, we can confidently say that each Science Fair Elite participant will receive robust guidance and mentorship every step of the way. If you’re a student passionate about STEM research who wants to make 2026 your best year yet, commit to your goals and apply to the Science Fair Elite Research Program today.
